This notice describes how this website handles data. Product-specific policies (e.g. QR Rapid) are published on each product's site.

01

Who we are

This website, churntech.com, is operated by Churn Technologies Sp. z o.o., registered in Warsaw, Poland. For the personal data described in this notice we are the controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

You can reach us about anything in this notice at [email protected].

02

What we collect

Contact form

If you write to us through the contact form we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, company (optional), the topic you choose and your message. Giving us this information is voluntary, but we cannot reply without it.

The form also uses two anti-spam signals that are not stored with your message: a hidden field that people never see, and the time it took to complete the form.

Email

If you email us directly, we receive your address and whatever you choose to send. Our mail is handled through Google Workspace.

Server and network logs

Like any website, requests to churntech.com are processed by our hosting and content delivery providers, which record technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and browser and device information. We use it to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults.

03

How and why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry. Form and email data are used only to reply to you and to handle what you asked. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, where you ask about working together, taking steps at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep the site secure and working. Logs are used to detect abuse and fix errors, on the basis of our legitimate interest in the security and reliability of the site (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

04

Cookies and trackers

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and loads no third-party advertising or analytics scripts of its own.

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and speeds it up. Infrastructure providers may use technically necessary mechanisms for security, such as detecting automated traffic.

05

Who receives your data

We share personal data only with providers that help us run the site and answer you:

  • Cloudflare, for content delivery and security.
  • Discord, where contact-form submissions are delivered to a private channel that only our team can see, so we can read and answer them.
  • Google Workspace, our email provider, for messages sent to and from [email protected].
  • Our hosting provider, which runs the servers behind the site.

These providers act on our instructions as processors, or as independent controllers for their own security logs. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

06

Journal content and images

Articles in our journal and their images are served from our own content management system at api-v1.churntech.com. Loading them sends your browser's request, including your IP address, to that server, which we operate. The site also links to other websites, such as GitHub; their own privacy notices apply once you leave churntech.com.

07

How long we keep it

We keep contact-form submissions and emails for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, and afterwards only as long as there is a genuine reason to, such as an ongoing conversation or a legal obligation. You can ask us to delete your message at any time.

Server and network logs are kept by our providers for short, rolling periods set by those providers.

08

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
  • have your data erased, where there is no good reason for us to keep it;
  • restrict how we use your data in certain cases;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
  • receive data you gave us in a portable, machine-readable format.

To use any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We may need to confirm it is really you before we act.

09

Complaints

If you think we have handled your data unlawfully, we would like the chance to put it right first, so please write to us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl, or with the authority in the EU country where you live or work.

We will update this page when our practices change, and revise the date at the top. If a change is material, we will make that clear on the site.
