BandPeek
See which apps are using your network, and how much, from the macOS menu bar.

01What it does
BandPeek is a free, open-source menu-bar app for macOS. It shows live download and upload speeds, today's usage and the apps behind it, with a history of per-app totals that never leaves your Mac.
02Why it exists
When a connection slows down or a data cap runs out, the operating system rarely says which app is responsible. BandPeek answers that question quietly, without accounts, telemetry, packet capture or administrator rights.
03What makes it useful
Features
■ 01
Live speeds in the menu bar
Download and upload rates, refreshed with every two-second sample, in a fixed-width layout that doesn't jitter.
■ 02
Per-app history
Download, upload and share for Today, Yesterday, the last 7 days and the last 30 days — sortable and filterable.
■ 03
Local by design
No accounts, cloud history, analytics or telemetry. Usage history stays in a local database you can clear at any time.
■ 04
Honest numbers
A published accuracy contract explains what is measured, what can be missed and why totals differ from an ISP meter.
04In the product
Real screens, unretouched.
Captured from the app running against a demo database, as published in the project's repository.
